Welcome to the
14th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health |

Dear Delegate
Reflecting upon the exciting week of the Conference, the question uppermost in the minds of Organizers is “Was the Conference successful”? The most important criteria to me would be whether the presentations were good, sessions well attended and followed by lively discussion. From the informal feedback I and my friends have received so far, the answer to this entire question seems to be a resounding “Yes”. The degree of success of a conference thus depends upon the quality of its delegates and therefore, dear Delegate - a very big thank you for enriching the 14 WCTOH with your presence.
The next criteria of success would be the feedback on the time spent outside the conference sessions. Judging from the smiles, bonhomie and laughter all around, it appears to me that you did enjoy your time outside the sessions as well.
This informal feedback is important but it is subjective and anecdotal. To evaluate the 14 WCTOH in a more objective manner, the Secretariat would be sending out a brief questionnaire. I shall be very grateful for your filling it out and returning it.
The Conference has generated a rich repository of information through the presentations of delegates. We are deliberating on the optimal ways of categorizing, formatting and disseminating this information to facilitate advancing tobacco control globally. So please watch out for this space in near future.
