Welcome to the 14th World Conference on Tobacco OR Health
The World Conferences on Tobacco or Health have been extremely important vehicles for the progress of Global Tobacco Control. Starting from mid-sixties so far 13 world conferences have taken place. We are happy and proud to be hosting the 14th World Conference on Tobacco or Health during March 8 - 12, 2009 in Mumbai, India. This Conference will bring together the foremost tobacco control activists and researchers from all around the globe. |

This will be an exciting and stimulating event, especially because India has a complex tobacco problem due to a wide spectrum of tobacco products for smoking and smokeless use. The Scientific Committee is working hard to put together a truly innovative and refreshing program. Special efforts are being made for regional and gender balance and participation of developing country delegates.
The city of Mumbai is the gateway to India, a land of unsurpassable natural scenery and ancient monuments. Mumbai amply reflects the wide spectrum of variation and diversity that characterises the country.
